Yes, friends, there is something you can depend on.

No matter the problems or challenges, you can have rest and peace through the the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Don't be deceived by your education or lack of it, or by your own opinions and philosophy. God is not in heaven waiting on you and I to help determine who He is and what His plans are. God is God - He is the only God - the God of heaven and earth. He is mighty and His train fills the temple. He loves us and He has plans to reconcile us to Him; that's the Gospel. We see the Gospel when we look at Jesus.

The Gospel of God, ie. the Gospel of the Bible, says:
We are sinners who stand under God's wrath.
We need to be saved from our sins.
The only way to be saved is to repent of our sin and put our faith in Jesus Christ.
After we are saved we live a life of obedience to God and His Word.

Now we humans have our own gospel. We think and philosophize and give our opinion. We are deceived in everyplace where "our gospel" differs from God's gospel.

Friend, let me encourage you, get over your humanism. You can't save yourself. Accept God's grace and His plan. Enter into the kingdom of God. Pray right now to receive Jesus as your savior - be forgiven of your sins - and turn to God.

Can you pray this way: Lord, I confess to you that I am a sinner, I think of those sins and repent of them. I was wrong and I ask you to forgive me of those sins. Come into my life and be my Savior. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. I pray these things in Jesus name. Amen.
